Roger William Young

Roger William Young, 74 of Otterbein, IN, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Roger was born November 2, 1949 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to Elmer and Lorine Young.

Roger married his wife of 56 years, Monika Milton August 30, 1968 in Oxford, Indiana.

In his spare time from his work of 25 years at Canam Steel, Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Monika Young, sisters, Jean Kyger (Russell), Betty Kyle (Gary), daughters, Sandra Young-Neher (Daniel), and Kandy Young. Grandchildren, Brittany Bowden, Sean Young and Kami Young, great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Jack.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Bobby Young, and his younger sister, Diane Hartley.

A Celebration of life for Roger will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Otterbein Public Library (23 1st St. Otterbein, IN 47909) from 2-5 pm. Please dress casually.
