Wilma Lorene Spackman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilma Lorene Spackman, who passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024 at the age of 83.

Wilma was born on January 9, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana to Harold Legg and Laura McCabe Hughes. At age 15 she went to live with Fred and Imogene Schwanke in Monticello, Indiana where she graduated highschool in 1959.

Wilma attended Ball State and Indiana Business College. She moved to Florida and started her career as a Executive Secretary for a number of businesses including Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida.

Wilma was known for her faith and love for the Lord. Her charm, kindness, and unconditional love for her family and friends will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Wilma’s legacy continues as she leaves behind a beautiful blended family. Daughter Kirsten Scott (Jason Randolph) of Rensselaer IN. Grandchildren Collen Perkins, Christian (Keegan) Carabantes, Destiny (Gabi) Rodriguez, Stormy (Nick) Bonakowski, Ayden Randolph and 8 great grandchildren. Siblings Betty (Darrell) McClain, Cheryl (Rod) Rich, and Mike (Beth) Schwanke and several nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and sister Isabelle Douglas.

To honor Wilma’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held privately for the family.
