Susan Marie Allison, 60, of Crawfordsville, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering joy March 27, 2025.

Born on September 19, 1964, Susan had a deep passion for life’s simple pleasures. She found beauty in arranging flowers, cherished time spent socializing and was her children’s greatest supporter. Even as she battled illness for over two decades, facing both mental and physical challenges, she never lost her radiant, contagious smile or her love for connection.

Susan adored Hallmark movies, treasured her family, and wholeheartedly believed that sugar and junk food were essential food groups. Her warmth, humor, and unbreakable spirit brightened the lives of everyone she met. No matter the hardships she faced, she continued to spread joy, proving that happiness is best shared with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Iris Mitchell and brother, Joe Mitchell. She is survived by her loving daughter, Angelina (Tim) Ball, her devoted son, Nick (George) Newlin; and her cherished grandchildren, Daniel Surface, Kaylee McCandless, and Maddox Ball. She is also survived by her brother, Jay (Sue) Mitchell; nieces, Natalie Mitchell, Amy Abdallah, and Shelly Corken, nephew Joey Mitchell and many dear friends.

Susan’s life will be honored with a celebration at a later date, where those who loved her can gather to remember her laughter, kindness, and that unforgettable smile that could light up any room.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to enjoy a sweet treat in her memory—just as Susan would have wanted.
