Ralph Alex "Buggy" Maple Jr., 80. born January 2, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Ralph and Mary Maple, passed away on December 17, 2024, in Buffalo, Indiana. His life was a testament to love, family, and kindness.

On September 7, 1963, Ralph married Edith Louise Rader, the love of his life. Together, they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Edith survives him, holding dear the memories of their enduring partnership. Ralph was a devoted father to three children: Kimberly Kay Casey (husband, Tim), Jodi Lee Maple (wife, Amanda), Paul Alex Maple (wife, Cheri), and Cynthia Kesler (Bonus Daughter). He also raised two grandchildren as his own: Andrew Ryan Maple (husband, John) and Tiffany Michelle Seward (husband, Bryan). Additionally, Ralph leaves behind 19 other grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.

Ralph is also survived by his sister, Lou Ann Hulbert (husband, Gary) and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Linda Fae Watson, Billy Joe Maple, and Ronald Lee Maple, Sr.

A man of many passions, Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing golf, attending church services, and watching sports both on television and in person. Known for his legendary sense of humor—often teasing others with his glass eye—he was a loyal friend who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His beloved dogs—Max, Buttercup, Storm, and Nana—were like family to him and were cherished deeply.

Ralph dedicated 27 years of service to RCA before retiring from Jeld-Wen in Rantoul, Illinois, after 23 years. Throughout his life and career, he remained a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew him.

Ralph’s warmth and generosity will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
