Pamela Ann Bachman, 69, of Lafayette, died October 22, 2024 at home with her family by her side. Pam was born the daughter of John William, III and Barbara Ann (Fuller) Gentry on March 2, 1955 in Phenix City, AL.

She will be remembered as an animal lover having had an array of animals from cats to snakes, ferrets, arctic foxes and a bobcat.

She also enjoyed dressing in Renaissance attire and attending fairs. She loved watching Disney movies, Beauty and the Beast, most of all. She was happy ordering from Temu and camping as well as holidays, especially Christmas.

 In addition to managing night clubs/officer clubs in Utah, she managed Tenino Eagles in Washington State for 3-4 years. She was an avid rock hunter while enjoying being outdoors. She also ran the David Winter Cottage on the Vincenza, Italy Army Post for 2 years. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden, Germany.

 She will be remembered for being super stubborn with a strong work ethic. Her passing with care was provided by Southern Care Hospice. “It is with many thanks for the kind souls at Southern Care Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Pamela”.

 She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lloyd Gentry. She is survived by children, John (Michelle) Gentry of Lafayette, Sharon Johnpeer of Afton, WY, Susan Ruth of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, John Gentry V, Katelyn and Antonio Gutierrez, Hunter Johnpeer, Allyssia Morriss, Tia Jones, Kristen Guidry and Kelsie Watson, great-grandchildren, Freeman, Cayla, Miley, Kael, Cameron, Ayden, Rose, Leola and Colter, siblings, Patricia and Joanna Gentry, Angela Spears and Rosa Biggs as well as a cousin, Sharon DuFrene, all of Columbus, GA as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
