Monica Lenore (Orr) Pierce

Monica Lenore Pierce, 59, of Lafayette, received her wings with the lord December 27, 2024 with her loving family surrounding her. Monica was born June 26, 1965, the daughter of Lucille Graves and George Orr, Jr., she was the youngest of 7 children weighing only 3 lbs. at birth and has always been the darling of the family.

 Monica will be remembered as a loving, caring, wonderful, strong, hard-working, passionate person who loved her family with all her heart. She loved to dance, sing, enjoy her family-life (Loved to party). She always kept it real with a beautiful smile and heart of a warrior.

 Monica was predeceased by her husband, Deon Pierce, mother, sisters, Saundra Cox-Mulkey, Joyce E. Orr-Rice and Marion D. Graves.

 She leaves behind daughter, Tanika Nicole Hatcher, grandchildren, Shondria L. Hill, TrayShawn S. Hill, Summer C. Jones, Serenity U. Hatcher, great-grandchild, Asiah Hill, siblings, Sharron Bailey, Monad Elohim and George Harvey Orr-Graves as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
