Molly Jane Helmick

On September 21, 2024, Winchester, Indiana lost a beloved resident with the passing of Molly Jane Helmick. Born on May 23, 1933, Molly was the daughter of Tilmon and Saluda Clark.

In 1955, Molly married the love of her life, James "Jim" Robert Helmick. Together, they raised three children: Toni Conklin (Tony Fouse) Bill Helmick (Beth) and Angela Abernathy (Joe). Molly was a loving and devoted spouse, mother, and grandmother to her 10 grandchildren. Jolie Krug (Joe); Corie Bradburn (Dustin); Niles Helmick; Derek Sloan (Lisa Graft); Nikki Aber (Josh); Katy Hoblit (Bryant); Kelsey Peden (Matt); Amber Abernathy (Jason); Adam Abernathy; Kyle Orr (Chrystal); Molly has 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

One of Molly's greatest joys in life was babysitting her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Molly took great pride and pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow, and the time she spent with them was a source of immense happiness for her. She delighted in playing with them, reading stories, and passing on her baking and cooking skills, ensuring that her family's traditions would continue for generations to come.

Molly was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her son Bill, and her sister Jenny. Two brothers, Bill and Timon Jr.

Services will be held at the Moose Lodge, Winchester, Indiana, October 20, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm to celebrate Molly's life and the enduring impact she had on all who knew her.
