Lara Hatfield

Lara S. Hatfield, 58, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at IU Hospital. She was born July 5, 1967, in Indianapolis, IN, to Carol (Gregg) Hatfield and the late Douglas Hatfield.

Lara attended Jefferson High School in Lafayette, IN, and graduated among the class of 1985. On August 26, 1989, she married James (Jay) Wiedenhoeft in Lafayette, IN. Lara worked as a daycare teacher. Lara really enjoyed watching the animals in the yard, cats, and the Green Bay Packers.

Lara is survived by her husband, Jay Wiedenhoeft of Lafayette, IN; mother, Carol Hatfield of Lafayette, IN; stepson Scott (Rachel) Wiedenhoeft; and step-grandchildren Lilly and Wyatt Wiedenhoeft of Lafayette, IN. Lara was preceded in death by her Father, Douglas Hatfield; and brother, William Matthew Hatfield.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
