Katherine Marie (Mancos) Hattendorf

Katherine Marie Hattendorf, 74, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 in her home in Lafayette, IN with her dear friend Sam by her side.

Katherine was born April 4, 1949. She graduated from Southgate High school in 1968. She served for a short time in the United States Army before starting a family and beginning a career in the medical field as s a CNA as well as later becoming a phlebotomist.

Katherine enjoyed spending her free time crocheting, sewing, quilting, and crafting. She loved making things for friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and adored her dog, Turbo.

Katherine is survived by her siblings, Edward J. Mancos Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Phillip A. (Jean) Mancos of South Lyon, MI as well as her children, John A. (Kirstin) Hattendorf of Rochester, WA and Joseph A. (Sophia) Hattendorf of West Lafayette, IN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charlie, Connor, Zoey, Nellie, Braelynn, Dakoda and Linkin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Mancos and Joyce Mancos as well as her husband, Rudiger and a brother, John.

Out of respect for her wishes, there will be a private ceremony to be held at a later date.
