Frank Delano Walker

Frankie Walker, 66, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 2, 2023, with family and friends by his side.

Frankie was born June 21, 1957, in Lafayette to, the late, Frank and Nona (Bussell) Walker and was a lifelong Indiana resident.

Over his lifetime Frankie worked at Arni’s, Merkel Excavating, Waste Management and Alexander Tree Service.  He enjoyed anything mechanical with an engine in it, lawn mower repair, fishing, listening to music (especially Molly Hatchet), spending time with family and friends, playing his guitar and harmonica and watching Looney Tunes, Westerns, Little House on the Prairie, The Rifleman, and Gilligan’s Island.  Frankie was the strongest, kindest, most giving man.  He always helped anyone he could and his door was always open to family and friends.  He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Frankie is survived by daughters Jessica Batta (Michael), Cassie Walker (fiancé Ryan) and Sarah Blanton (fiancé Corey); son Isaiah Walker; step-daughter Jamie Weirauch; step-sons Jim Weirauch and Nathan Threlkeld (Courtney); sisters Jenny Cons, Brenda McIntyre (Thomas), Anita Wharton (Dale), Nancy Vandeventer (Rick); brother Victor Walker; grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas, Alexis, Joshua, Myles, Sawyer, Aundreah, Cairo, Kaitlyn, Chelsea, Jimmy Jr., and Hunter; great-granddaughter Avery; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friends Jerry Smith, Frankie Hamblien, Jay Myres, Madonna Neff, Debbie Budreau and Vickie Johnson.

Celebration of Life will be held at The Wildcat Conservation Club in Mulberry, IN at 2pm Sunday, November 19, 2023 with Rev. Donny Ely officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make any contributions to Jessica Batta or at Help the Family of Frankie Walker on Gofundme.com to help offset expenses.
