Donna Lynn Newmister

Donna Lynn Newmister, 73 of Odell, passed at her home with her family on the morning of December 15, 2025. Donna was born on December 12, 1952 at Lockbourne Air Force Base near Columbus, Ohio, to Ray Dean and Erna Gene Owen. She grew up in Hessville, IN, and attended Morton High School. She married Michael Newmister on August 5, 1972, in Killeen, Texas. They resided in the Calumet area and Southern Ohio before moving to Odell in 1999.

Donna was the sweetest soul you could hope to meet; the social butterfly who made friends everywhere she went. She was devoted and loyal in all of her relationships, wife, moma, nana, sister, daughter, friend. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and artistic pursuits of all descriptions. She was a lifelong animal lover, homemaker, and eternal optimist.

Donna is survived by her husband, Mike; daughter, Rebecca (Charlie Adams) of Shadeland; son, Mikal, of Odell; 2 grandchildren, Riannon Adams, of Shadeland, and Jaden Sandvold (Macy), of Lafayette; 2 sisters, Linda Frahm of Claremore, Ok, and Deana Fowler (Steve), of Clinton; a brother, Chris Owen (Bev), of Marshall IL; stepfather, Chuck White, of Marshall IL; and handpicked sister, Jamie Quallen of Wilmington, OH; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Her family will be hosting a celebration of her life at a later date.
