Diana Lynn Goetz

Diana Lynn Goetz, 72, of Lafayette, IN (formerly of LaPorte, IN) passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Diana was born on August 30, 1951 in Michigan City, IN to the late, Glenn R. and Laura J. [Bull] Goetz. She was part of the first graduating class from South Central Jr./Sr. High School in 1969. Diana spent most of her life working in retail – most notably was Carol’s Hallmark in Valparaiso, IN.

 In her leisure time, she found joy in creating beautiful plastic canvas items. This creative outlet was a source of pride and relaxation, resulting in many cherished pieces that family and friends will remember her by.

 Diana was a devoted bingo player, finding happiness in the camaraderie and excitement of the game. Alongside bingo, she enjoyed playing various other games, bringing joy and laughter to those around her with her competitive spirit and good humor.

 Diana cherished every moment spent with her relatives, specifically receiving hugs from her three great-nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and community. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but the memories and impact of her life will continue to be cherished.

 She is survived by: sister, Danita J. (William) Farmer of Valparaiso, IN, nephew, Justin G. (Christa) Jordan of Winamac, IN, niece, Kelsey N. Jordan of Lafayette, IN, nephew, Brandon W. Farmer of Valparaiso, IN, niece, Kayla J. Farmer of Valparaiso, IN, great-nephews, Eliott R. Jordan of Winamac, IN,Oliver R. Jordan of Winamac, IN, Jacoby E. Farmer of Valparaiso, IN and several cousins.

 She is preceded in death by: her parents, sister, Donna F. [Goetz] Jordan and brother in-law, Jeffery B. Jordan.

 A memorial service to celebrate Diana’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Salem United Church of Christ in Wanatah, IN.
