Dennis Stevenson

Dennis Stevenson, 61, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed Sunday September 27th. He was born August 26, 1965, to Diana Sue Stevenson (Lantrip) and Dale Eugene Stevenson, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lyla Elaine Smith.

Dennis graduated from Zionsville High School in 1985 and went on to earn an associate degree in Electronics from ITT Technical Institute in 1991.

Dennis spent 20 years married to Regina Stevenson, raising their children together. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends until her passing in 2024.

Dennis was incredibly proud to be a father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Deedra Moore (Samuel) and Dharma Smith (William); his son, Cadin Gunyon (Meghan); his bonus-daughter, Rayna Griffin. He loved his grandchildren Cheyenne, Aaron, Gemma, Ladin, Tessa, Bella, and Grayson.

He is also survived by his brothers, Dale Stevenson, Daniel Stevenson (Trisha), and Ryan Stevenson.

Dennis was a hardworking man who passed on an incredible work ethic, a dedication to resilience, and a deep commitment to family to his children. He was a jokester until the very end, and no one left his presence without a laugh.

A jelly donut and an unmowed lawn hated to see him coming.

Dennis enjoyed learning about new technology, watching sci-fi movies, and, perhaps most of all, embarrassing his children whenever the opportunity presented itself. His humor, resilience, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
