Christopher Lynn Leming, 59, passed away on March 3, 2026, following a lengthy illness.

Chris was born on April 12, 1966, at Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. He most recently made his home in Oxford, Indiana. Chris was known as a friendly and reliable person with a great sense of humor and an easy smile. Many knew him from his years working as a merchandiser and department manager at Payless Supermarket, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.

Chris had a lifelong love of classic cars. He enjoyed attending car shows, working on cars, and sharing conversations with fellow enthusiasts who shared his passion.

Those who knew Chris remember his kind nature, steady presence, and warm personality. Chris also held a strong Christian faith and loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Karen D. Ubelhor (husband David Ubelhor); his father, Millard R. Leming (wife Mary (Martin) Leming); and several beloved grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He is survived by his siblings, Alan D. Leming, Mickey L. Leming (Sheila), and Jeaneen (Leming) Walker (Dale); step-siblings Cheryl (Ubelhor), Kotyuk, and David Ubelhor; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Chris requested to be cremated with no formal funeral service. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Comfort Cremations.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family.

Chris will always be remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched many lives.
