Anita Jean Carman

Anita Jean Carman, of Fowler, went to be with her Lord on March 14, 2026, concluding her stay at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Jean was born on December 21, 1935, to Fred and Imogene (Cramer) Carman in Martinsville and graduated from Fowler High School in 1953. After graduating, Jean began working for the Indiana Bell Telephone Company and retired from there in 1986, after it had become part of the Southwestern Bell Corporation.

Jean is survived by her 2 sisters, 7 nieces, and 6 nephews. She often referred to her nieces and nephews as her ‘kids’, and she loved and enjoyed them very much. In heaven, Jean now joins her parents, sister, brother, nephew, great-niece, and 2 great-nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM (ET) at Gerts, Windler & Keller Funeral Home ~ Fowler Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Fowler Cemetery.
